What should I bring to a lesson? The only thing you need to bring with you is your willingness to learn an exciting new sport. Other than that a couple of other things you might want such as sunscream, water, inexpensive sunglasses and towel.for the first lesson is on land, a confortable pair of runners will help. Do I need to have strong arms to kitesurfing? No. In kitesurfing we use a waist or seat harness that distributes the pull of the kite throughout your body. Do I have to be in great shape to kitesurf? No. Being in good shape will help but people of all shapes and sizes can enjoy the thrill of kitesurfing. However being able to swim and being comfortable in the water is mandatory. How long will it take for me to get up and riding? The average person can get up and riding in 12 hours to a few days. Learning to stay upwind can take anywhere from a few weeks to 1 month. Where are the lessons taught? We have lots of options around North Donegal and Northern Ireland for different wind directions and conditions. Our main beaches for teaching are located in Buncranna, Ballyliffin, Culdaff and Portrush. What if there is no wind prior to the lesson? Lessons schedule unfortunately are depending on wind conditions. Gale Force 8 will notify you prior to any changes of the lessons. |
